Our Equality Performance Scheme covers a four-year period and provides a governance structure for tackling discriminatory practice and supports our aim to deliver high quality care. Our strategy sets out how we will improve outcomes for people through listening, publishing and sharing information, and enabling staff to operate in an environment of trust and transparency. We want to ensure the voice of patients and their families are heard. This will help us deliver better services that don't disadvantage any communities.
We try to ensure our services and employment practices are fully inclusive and equitable. This is something our chief executive has corporate responsibility for.
The Equality Act 2010, the Human Rights Act 1998 and the NHS Equality Delivery System (EDS2) together aim to deliver improved health outcomes and equality for patients.
