Our Governors are responsible for representing the views of the members and to hold the Board of Directors to account – making sure the Trust provides the high quality services that are wanted and needed locally.
There are three types of Governors:
- Public Elected Governors (service users, carers and members of the general public, elected by members)
- Staff Governors (elected by our staff members)
- Appointed Governors (representatives from Local Authorities, Primary Care Trusts, and organisations who work closely with the Trust).
The Council of Governors
The Council of Governors is chaired by the Trust Chair and is made up of 41 Governors – over half of these are elected by the members.
