At Sussex Partnership we want to end mental health discrimination. We are working alongside the national Time to Change campaign to do just that.
We will do this by getting all of us to think about mental health and show how we can support people with mental health problems in their lives.
We are taking part in the national Viewpoint survey about discrimination. The results will be used for the national Time to Change campaign, and also here in Sussex. We are pleased to be involved in this important research.
Mental illness is far more common than you think.
One in four of us will experience a mental health problem at some point in our life. This means you, your family, your friends and people you work with could be affected by mental health problems. Mental illness doesn’t need to be a taboo subject – it’s just part of life.
Mental illness is one of our last taboos.
Attitudes have changed towards a lot of issues – but for many people mental health problems are still a taboo subject. We want to change that.
