In order to maximise the Trust’s potential to host and instigate research that can impact upon theory and practice nationwide, infrastructure and resources must be focused upon research studies that that are within or aspiring to be within the NIHR (National Institute for Health Research) portfolio.

Student research can play a valuable role in resourcing these studies and frameworks of research. Consequently, student research hosted by the Trust will need to be integrated into the existing themes of research activity. This will be the case for all postgraduate students.

For further information on a specific theme please contact the relevant theme leader.

Please send a short summary of your research idea (no more than one side of A4) to research@sussexpartnership.nhs.uk. 

A convenor for the appropriate theme will look at the idea to assess whether it has synergy with existing studies in a theme.
