This part of the website has information which is useful for carers. All the information in this section has been reviewed by carers.
If you are an important part of the support network for a relative, partner or friend who is experiencing a mental health problem you can be called a ‘carer.’
This may not feel like a comfortable title or you may prefer not to think of yourself in those terms but it is important as it entitles you to particular forms of help and also means that you can be involved in major decisions about planning support for the person you care for.
