Health in Mind

We all go through low points at times in our lives and it is not unusual to experience symptoms such as stress, anxiety and depression.
In the past you may have experienced difficulties getting practical help for these common issues but now Health in Mind offers a service in East Sussex for anyone experiencing these kinds of emotional or psychological difficulties.
Through Health in Mind we have effectively bridged the gap between you visiting your GP and accessing what we call Talking Therapies (Psychological Therapies).
This has been achieved by placing a Primary Care Mental Health Worker, a mental health professional, in each GP surgery across East Sussex. They can advise on the most appropriate treatment for you and can facilitate access into which ever service is appropriate, including the Health in Mind interventions.
If you are experiencing emotional or psychological difficulties we strongly recommend contacting your GP who can put you in contact with one of our Primary Care Mental Health Workers.
Health in Mind is underpinned by the belief that a small amount of treatment early on may prevent a person becoming more troubled or unwell and therefore needing more intense treatment at a later date.
The Health in Mind service is provided by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust with Turning Point.
