What does a Health Care Support worker do?

  • Working in our wards supporting adults with their mental health 
  • Working alongside nurses and other practitioners to deliver a therapeutic programme of care
  • Reporting on service users' progress to nurses and other practitioners
  • Providing factual information to service users using persuasion, reassurance, tact, and empathy
  • Help service users understand their condition and care plans in a kind, compassionate way that is easy to understand
