Forensic healthcare

We help people with their mental health recovery in secure care. We provide low and medium secure care, prison healthcare and community forensic outreach.

We have a specialist psychology service which supports the National Probation Service in working with people who have a personality disorder. We have also developed strong partnerships with the police and the courts to ensure that people with mental illness who come into contact with the criminal justice system receive the care and treatment they need.

How we are rated

When the Care Quality Commission inspected our services in 2015, here are some of the things they said:

‘Staff were proud of the care they delivered. They also felt supportive of, and supported by, their colleagues, management and the trust.’

“Staff morale was high and the multidisciplinary teams worked well together.”

“Despite the work pressures, staff were compassionate, sensitive and kind to people who use the service.”

“The whole staff team had a strong ethos of working with individuals in the least restrictive way.”
