"I feel very proud to be part of the NHS and to be utilising my skills to ultimately improve the public’s health."
Richard Levell is fairly new to the NHS, having only joined two years ago. Richard currently works as Team Manager for Hampshire’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), in Basingstoke.
Having previously worked in the third sector, we asked Richard what he enjoys about working in the NHS: “I feel very proud to be part of the NHS and to be utilising my skills to ultimately improve the public’s health. I am thoroughly astounded on a daily basis by the dedication and commitment of the staff that I work with, and I feel honoured to be part of such a dynamic and collaborative organisation, that really values staff and prioritises quality care.”
We asked Richard why he thinks the NHS is so great, and why it should be appreciated and protected: “The NHS is one of the best healthcare systems in the world and should be valued and preserved to ensure that it remains the institution that it is for our children’s children.”
