Thaddeus Cheung is a Psychiatry Core Trainee. As part of his training Thaddeus works across different areas of the Trust and is currently working in Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services in Brighton.
“I came to the UK from Singapore to study medicine. I decided to stay to experience working in the NHS. Free healthcare is a huge luxury and I find it is something many people who grew up here take for granted.
“I chose psychiatry because it is the most interesting field of medicine. Mental health is misunderstood yet so important to our general wellbeing. I have found treating someone’s mental health and seeing them get better more rewarding than doing the same for physical health problems."
