Dementia inpatient services
We provide inpatient services for people with dementia who are expressing their distress in a way that makes it difficult to support them in their usual environment. We will provide them with immediate and expert assessment, treatment, and support in a safe environment.
We provide specialist care for people with dementia.
When you are admitted to the service, we will work with you and your family and friend carers to assess and identify your mental health and care needs. We will then produce a personalised care plan to support your ongoing needs
Referrals for admission to our wards are made via clinicians in our specialist community or hospital liaison services.
We are multi-disciplinary teams, which may include a consultant doctor, ward doctor, matron, ward manager, nurses, psychological professionals, occupational and drama therapists, physician associate, health care assistant, discharge co-ordinator, and administrators.
