You will be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team made up of Consultant Psychiatrists, Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Psychologists, Support Workers, Employment Specialists, and Administrators.

You will have prior experience of working with people with mental health difficulties and good experience of clinical assessments and risk management. Ideally you will have experience of working as part of a community team but this is not essential.

As Mental Health Practitioner, you will support clients with complex mental health needs. You will work collaboratively with internal and external partners to co-ordinate and review treatment, manage discharge plans and/or the transfer of patients to primary care or voluntary services for ongoing support.  You might also support clients with other aspects of their health.

The role is highly rewarding, but can at times be challenging with competing demands.

We welcome applications from practitioners who are highly motivated and enthusiastic about providing high quality patient care. You will also be flexible and creative in your working style with a passion for working with people, their families and carers and partner organisations to support people to recover.

We’re looking for Registered Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers who are registered with their relevant professional body to join our community teams supporting adults with mental health difficulties in West Sussex.

You will work in partnership with service users with complex health needs and their families and carers to develop care, recovery and discharge plans to enable our patients to lead fulfilling lives. You will assess, plan and implement care, provide specialist nursing advice to patients and carry our specialist nursing procedures.

You will also provide clinical supervision to staff and students and act as a mentor for student nurses.

We’re looking for Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers who are registered with their relevant professional body to join our urgent care and eating disorder community teams in West Sussex to support children and young people.

You will play a key role in providing care and support to children and young people with complex mental health needs. Your work will involve collaborating with families and carers and wider stakeholders, including other healthcare professionals, local authorities and community organisations, to ensure that children and young people receive the best possible care.

Some of the key responsibilities of your role, working alongside multi-professional colleagues, will include developing treatment plans for children and young people, reviewing progress and assessing the effectiveness of the treatment provided.

We are looking for Registered Mental Health Nurses to join our inpatient team at Chalkhill adolescent unit in West Sussex.

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, working with Occupational Therapists, Psychologists and Doctors, to support children and young people in their recovery. You will undertake detailed assessments of patients with complex mental health needs and be expected to administer and monitor medication. You will work closely with other teams, professionals and partner organisations to discharge children and young people from hospital.

You will also provide clinical and managerial leadership on the ward, supervising junior staff and trainees and regularly taking charge of the clinical environment while you are on duty.

You will need to work flexibly, including evenings, nights and weekends.
