Mary Paige_resized.jpgMeet Mary Paige - she's just joined the Provider Collaborative as PA to four directors and has a busy workload! Read on to learn about her role and discover some things about Mary that she says may surprise you.

Tell us about your role

I joined the Provider Collaborative in July as PA to four directors - Louise Doughty, Programme Director for Wessex and Dorset CAMHS, Nina Marshall, Programme Director for Sussex and Kent CAMHS and Adult Eating Disorders, Richard Sankar, Clinical Director for the Sussex, Kent, Wessex and Dorset CAMHS and Stuart Lynch, Safeguarding and Quality Lead for Sussex, Kent, Wessex and Dorset CAMHS.

I help with diary management, annual leave requests and support Stuart with maintaining patient records. I also pull together monthly reports for supervision and appraisal and prepare agendas and take the minutes for lots of meetings.

What's the best thing about your job?

I have worked in many previous roles including the CAMHS crisis team, all-age eating disorders service and as a PA to a director at NELFT, a role I particularly enjoyed. I like all the admin for PA work and enjoy being able to organise and manage the work. I am still finding my feet so am not sure which part is going to be the best.

How did you get into the role?

I really enjoy PA work and heard about the position. I was looking to progress from my previous role.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I have three girls aged 39, 35 and 25. I like gardening, and enjoy going on holiday and I do a lot of walking and socialising. I have 10 grandchildren and support my children to look after them - I really enjoy their company!

Is there anything people would be surprised to know about you?

  • I am 4ft 8 and was born in Ireland but came to the UK before I was a year old. This surprises people as I have a Kent accent.
  • I can read music.
  • I completed and advanced QCF3 Business Admin apprenticeship at 50.
