Introducing i-Rock Horsham District: support, advice and empowerment

27 June 2023

Elle Dyson, Team Leader for i-Rock West SussexMy name is Elle Dyson, and I'm thrilled to share some exciting news with you all. As the Team Lead for i-Rock in West Sussex, I'm here to introduce this brand new service which aims to support and empower young people aged 14 to 25 in Horsham District.

At i-Rock, we understand that life can throw a lot of challenges our way, and sometimes it feels overwhelming, especially when you're going through it alone. That's why we're here—to lend a helping hand and be a trusted resource for you.

Our core offer is simple yet powerful: a new support and advice hub where you can come to access a one-to-one appointment with a compassionate professional. You can talk about absolutely anything that's on your mind or heart. No topic is off-limits. We believe in creating a safe space where you can be heard, understood, and supported without any judgment.

i-Rock Horsham District logoSpeaking of support, we're not alone in this journey. We firmly believe in the power of a multi-agency approach. i-Rock is an amazing collaboration between different partner services that provide specialised support in different areas. Think of it as a one-stop shop for all your needs, where you can find guidance on education and careers, substance misuse, health, housing, and more.

We know that taking action sooner rather than later can make a world of difference. That's why we're dedicated to making our services accessible to you. Mental health matters, and we're committed to breaking down barriers and ensuring that everyone gets the support they need.

By accessing support early, you're taking control of your wellbeing. It's a courageous step, and we're here to open the door for you. Our team is made up of friendly and welcoming professionals who are passionate about helping you flourish.

At i-Rock, we embrace a holistic approach because we understand that mental health is just one part of the puzzle. We're committed to providing you with self-management tools, signposting to other resources, and advocating for you when needed. We believe in empowering you to make informed decisions and discover the strengths within yourself.

i-Rock Horsham District will open its doors on Monday July 3rd. You will be able to access the service by dropping in or booking an appointment - online or in person at our dedicated hub situated in Hurst Café on Hurst Road. Visit our website to view our opening times and find out more.
