This policy is divided into two main sections for ease of use and comprehension, and which should be read in conjunction with each other. These documents have been prepared and reviewed in accordance with Trust Procedures and specifically details the Chief Executive Officer's intentions to provide a clear and unambiguous statement about the management of fire safety within Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
Together the two sections provide overall instructions and guidance about fire safety, as follows:

2. Section 2. - Arrangements and Procedures & Fire Safety Protocol's
This policy in full applies in all the Trust owned and occupied buildings and/or any other premises where Trust employees may work; it applies in full to all Trust employees (including honorary, part time, and volunteer staff) whilst they are at work; and the employees of any other employer who carries out activities in the Trust’s buildings/premises. The Policy must be made available to all employees, and any persons who otherwise hold fire safety responsibilities directly or indirectly for or on behalf of the Trust.
