Library and knowledge service

Regardless of base or locality, all Sussex Partnership staff can use all the NHS libraries in Sussex.

We supply the evidence base to support decision making on treatment, patient care, patient safety, commissioning and policy. Whatever your role, you will have confidence that you’re using the best quality information in your work.

Find the nearest NHS library to your work or home

We have a team of specialist knowledge experts to help you access the information you need.

If we don’t have the article or book you need, just email the details to spnt.library-services@nhs.net and we will get it for you from another library.

Alternatively, you can complete an online inter-library loan request form.

To request inter-library loans on the online catalogue you will need your library membership ID. Contact your library if you need a reminder of this.

Ask the question and we’ll provide the answer, be it for menus of treatment, guidelines, cost-effective commissioning or research and development. And we will filter the results to supply exactly what you want. Request an evidence search from our team of expert searchers.

If you want to find the best evidence but have limited time, we’ll search for you. We can help inform guideline or service development, research bids, commissioning, or patient care.

No question is too big or too small. We will talk to you about what you need, look for the evidence and provide you with a selected summary of what we have found.

You can request a search by contacting your specialist librarian or by emailing spnt.library-services@nhs.net

Too much information and not enough time to keep up? The library and knowledge service can send you the latest contents pages of your chosen journals, alert you to new developments in areas you are working in, and provide you with notifications and bulletins of the latest research and publications in your field.

Our notifications are highly personalised and targeted to you. Focusing on the evidence that will change practice, and the latest publications on quality, innovation, productivity and prevention, our aim is to bring you what you need to know and no more.

Email us at spnt.library-services@nhs.net, listing the journal titles or topics you are interested in, or contact your specialist librarian.
