Complex Trauma and Dissociative Disorders Service
The Complex Trauma and Dissociative Disorders Service is an NHS Trust wide team in SPFT.
The team provide consultation, training and supervision to staff across a range of services and care groups.
The service is also able to offer a small number of direct specialist assessments, and evidence-based treatment to those with Complex PTSD (CPTSD) and significant dissociative symptoms, that usually meet criteria for a dissociative disorder. Therapy is offered in line with international guidelines for working with trauma and dissociation (e.g. ISSTD).
Making a referral
Staff working in SPFT can make a referral for advice by contacting the team administrator.
GPs should refer to their local Neighbourhood Mental Health Team for advice or treatment.
Referrals for assessment or treatment must be made by other clinical teams within Sussex Partnership via the team administrator.
