Mental health support for armed forces veterans

Operation Courage logoThe Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service includes the Transition, Intervention and Liaison Service, Complex Treatment Service and High Intensity Service.

We offer free NHS mental health services to all ex-serving members of the UK Armed Forces and service personnel, including those who are making the transition to civilian life and reservists. We work with any veterans and service leavers living in, or registered with a GP in, East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton & Hove, Surrey, Kent and Medway.

If you are a veteran living in the above areas, you can refer yourself to our service: please either complete the referral form or contact us to discuss your referral. We also accept referrals from any professional or agency working with a veteran.

The service is provided by The Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service - London and the South East (Surrey, Sussex and Kent).

This video shows what some of the veterans who have used our services think about it:

If so, the UK Veterans Family Study want to hear from you to understand, from your perspective, what supports have best helped your wellbeing after your family left the military.

Can you spare an hour to take part in a confidential telephone interview with a researcher?

Contact one of the researchers to find out more: UKVeteranFamilyStudy@gmail.com or see @Vet_Families.
