Meet the team...Stuart Lynch
Stuart Lynch is the Quality and Safeguarding Lead for the Provider Collaborative. Read on to find out about Stuart's role and discover what he did as an 'alternative' line of work earlier in his career.
Tell us a bit about your role
I work with young people and families to ensure that the care in units and services is effective, safe and high quality. I conduct regular quality reviews of services, both those that are within the Provider Collaborative's footprint as well as further afield, to ensure safe working practices across the services we commission and use.
How long have you worked for the Provider Collaborative?
In July 2025, I will have been working for the Provider Collaborative for four years.
What's the best thing about your job?
The variety - no two days are ever the same. I hope our work in the Provider Collaborative genuinely improves the services that we commission and the outcomes for young people and their families. I also enjoy working with a committed and passionate group of colleagues.
How did you get into the role?
I have always worked in CAMHS, but always on the provider side of care. I was interested to understand the role of commissioning but wanted to maintain contact with young people their families and specialist services. I have current and previous experience of working with the CQC and QNIC in quality roles, so being the Quality and Safeguarding Lead for the Provider Collaborative seemed to be the perfect.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to play golf, cook, play and watch football and spend time with my family.
Is there anything people would be surprised to know about you?
After finishing my A levels I worked as a roadie for a few indie bands in the early 90s!
