Innovation Week in East Sussex

Our teams in East Sussex are set to lead a third event as part of the mental health innovation programme.
The programme is led by Sussex Partnership on behalf of the Sussex Health and Care System, and aims to find new ways to provide the very best support and care for people in our community with mental health problems.
The first week in the programme took place in Brighton and Hove last July and in West Sussex in September. Both initiatives led to encouraging results in the way we work both with partners and internal teams in emergency departments, inpatient units and in the community.
In East Sussex from 19-23 February, the work will be based at Eastbourne. We'll be working with a range of partners from the local health and care system, housing authorities and voluntary and community groups. The focus will be on working in A&E and inpatient units to identify the most appropriate support for people, improve access to onward care and to look at ways to prevent people from readmission or reaching crisis in the future.
