New Chief Nursing Officer

I'm delighted to announce that Teresa Barker will be joining us as Chief Nursing Officer on 23 January 2023.
Teresa is a Registered Mental Health Nurse is currently Deputy Director of Nursing and Practice at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership NHS Trust.
Teresa has significant clinical, operational, professional leadership experience, and has an MBA in Healthcare Leadership. She was awarded ‘Leader of the Year’ in her current trust in 2021 for the multi professional support she provides from a strong values base. She has worked in a range of youth, adult and older adult mental health services since she started her mental health nurse training in 1997.
I want to take this opportunity to say a huge, personal thank you to Dr Mandy Burton for everything she has achieved in the role of Interim Chief Nursing Officer since January. Mandy has been instrumental in our work to continue improving quality and safety for the patients, carers, families and local communities we serve.
