Music for mental health fundraiser

7 August 2023

The Music Network, a group of NHS mental health workers who use music to support people with their mental health, is bringing Brighton musicians together to raise money for the work they do.

They are hosting a live music event at the Green Door Store in Brighton on Saturday 12 August. Running from 2pm-5pm, the show will feature folk outfit Bird in the Belly, rhythm and blues singer-songwriter JJ Symon and the Royal Escort, along with performances from mental health service users and staff.

South UK rap artist JAEBO, who works with AudioActive, a local organisation creating social change through music and developing emerging talent, will also perform.

Tickets cost £5, with a £3 cost-of-living price and the option to pay more for a ticket if you can. All proceeds will go to Heads On, the official charity of Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, to help fund the Music Networks' work making music accessible and available as a tool for recovery in mental health.
