Update on planned industrial action
We want to reassure you that we are working to keep our services running as normally as possible during the planned industrial action by the Royal College of Nursing on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 January. This includes all our hospital inpatient services.
If you have an appointment scheduled with one of our community teams on the 18 or 19 January then it's possible we may need to rearrange this. We will contact you directly if this is the case. Please assume your appointment is going ahead if you don't hear from us.
If you need urgent help or advice in relation to your mental health, a range of support is available including the free, confidential Shout service which is available 24/7 and can be accessed by texting SUSSEX to 85258. The Sussex Mental Health Line, that provides listening support, advice and information, is also available on 0800 0309 500. You can also find more information on Sussex Partnership website sussexpartnership.nhs.uk which includes how to get urgent help.
GP services are not affected by this strike action. Please continue to attend your GP appointments, unless you are contacted and told otherwise.
During strike days, it is likely 999 call handlers will be very busy. For more information on when to call 999 and when to go to A&E, you can visit the NHS UK website.
